Teacher Assistant
My duty as an assistant teacher was to not only assist the teacher in carrying out their day-to-day duties but to also help the students improve in areas they were struggling in. Areas such as grammar, tenses, sentence construction and pronunciation. I would play the role of a teacher if the main teacher was absent or unable to
teach at that time.
English Tutor
As an English tutor to grade 6 students, my job was to help the students with the absolute basics of the language. I assisted them with reading, pronunciation, spelling, and basic grammar. My preferred teaching method was the Total Physical Response (TPR) method. I preferred this method because it would make the students engage in the lesson, rather than just receive a lecture.
